A fascinating look at the first ever Crate Cuda. Everything but the roof is from Auto Metal Direct. And since this was aired, they are now making the rest of the roof pieces.

Mark, Is there any way you can dedicate just a series of videos on the HEMI CUDA FROM SCRATCH?
Usually it's mixed with other car content. It would be wonderful to see everything from the time the body panels are unpacked, how the panels are jigged, complete welding sequence, removal and installation of the donor roof, prep and paint, engine/trans install and interior finish. Since so few Hemi Cudas were produced, your approach has opened up a new market for those who want to own and drive a classic that had more attention to detail than the original factory production. Being that most of the original factory Hemi Cudas will end up in showrooms, museums and auctions, it would be nice to be able to purchase a classic you can actually enjoy and drive. After all, these are muscle cars. As a further benefit you may spark enough interest for manufacturers to supply the much needed roof panels. Imagine being able to build a Hemi Cuda in every conceivable option from paint color, interior trim, original or aftermarket engines and suspension choices.

My favorite movie that had a Charger in it was Blade. It was just something about the way it looked being painted matte black that stood out to me.

I really enjoyed watching that card bill from scratch, and I'm sure it was really rewarding to fit that roof perfectly. Excellent video guys 👍☮️

I’m getting rust work done on my xf falcon ute, all panels welded are first copper coated so when they’re welded together they’re rust protected, then they’re sealed afterwards inside the pillars or panels, the insides with penetrol or cavity wax to prevent moisture on the inside rotting out repairs. i don’t send you guys doing that process . if the inside of the pillars or any internal surfaces aes not protected then the bodies will rust from the inside out .

The third export hemi cuda convertible that was sold new in France, could have been reborn today if they had kept the burnt out shell.

To find your vin, couldn’t you produce a plate number you used at the time of registration? They found an owner of a car that was stolen in 1970 in a cargo container in NY and returned it back to the original owner

It would really help of the show could stay on topic and actually show the technical aspects of the build rather than the goofing around.

all very well painted as you do, but if not internally protected with cavity wax or ideally copper coat on surfaces welded togeather, inside of cavities coated then all these works of art will rot out from the inside. sooner rather than later. like a datsun from the 80’s . rusted out from the inside as they were bare steel on the inside of all the steel . wtf
