I apply a generous amount of Vaseline prior to swimming, which has been a game changer for me. I still shower after my swim, and apply a lesser amount.

Great topic of discussion. I had to take a break because I had the pins and needles sensation on my torso.(Swam 3x a week) Moisturizing didn’t help but when I took a break that’s when it went away.

Actually, a saltwater or ionized filtration system is better for you and looks pristine and clear!

This is literally the one thing stopping me to swim. It doesn't just dry your skin, It damages it semi permanantly. And no care will return it on a molecular level. Free radicals, cuticle lifts, scalp damage, It might feel fine for now, but slowly the damage will show, by that time you can only mask them with conditioner and hair implants. As for the skin it will forever stay 80% even after all the repairs because your cells literally starts breaking down with chlorine. if you swim regularly. Wish there is no chemicals in pools, i would swim everysingleday i swear it.

I shower before and after swimming (the after-swim shower session is especially long)

Whenever I accidentally get pool water in one of my eyes(goggles slipped etc.) my vision always has this fog-like thing going on for 2-3 hours lol

I've been the most Confused over that fun fact even though I had that exact same Hallucination throughout my whole life when I went Swimming in a Bathtub, a Swimming Pool, an indoor or outdoor Holiday house Pool, or even in the Ocean.

*Edit:* The main thing about the Hallucination that Confused me the most was looking at Wrinkly fingers & I had no idea why everybody's fingers became so Wrinkly after Swimming until now.

I wet my body and apply virgin coconut oil and wait 5 minutes to let the skin absorb the oil which protects the skin

Back in my freshman year of high school I had very bad *acne, * but I was also *swimming* & playing *water polo* & was on Accutane After summer *water polo* practice games & lifeguarding, I came back to school & my skin was *completely clear!* People were asking me what I used on my skin & all & I just said, “oh, it’s just chlorine & sunshine.” Only cuz *Accutane* isn’t the safest option. It’s only for severe acne…idk why I just thought of that lol 🤽🏻‍♂️
