Still have all my M mount cams & glass. Don't think I'll move to RF unless I can use my old glass. I hear it's actually not possible to make a M to RF adapter?

I am looking forward to trying this out. A $500 camera is more in my budget then a $3000 camera. I preordered the kit with two lenses and a adapter to use my current ones. Any word on when B&H will be able to start shipping?

@BandH I'm confused. I have several DSLR EF and EF-S lenses, but they won't work with the adapter? The man I spoke to on the phone said it should?

I love all the reviews for this camera very interesting perspectives. People can hate this camera it’s their choice but having owned many canon cameras including some from the rebel line i totally accept this is basically a mirrorless rebel so i know what to expect. I bought it used slapped an adapter on it and i use an old m42 mount lens and i having fun with it. I also have the adapter to use ef lenses so no worries there. thought about buying the rf 50mm 1.8 but haven’t made up my mind yet.

What does this camera look like side by side with the R8? I wanted to get a compact but am thinking an aps-c (like this or the R10) -with a small lens (like the 28) make more sense as a backup/smaller camera to my R8. Just thinking about it.. nothing I like will fit in my coat pocket.

Canon's site doesn't say the control ring adapter isn't compatible, it just says the control ring won't function. It and the other adapters still fit the rf mount.

I wish Canon released a photo centric RF full frame camera. I'm pretty sure there are plenty like me who doesn't care about video. Same R6 II body, IBIS, sensor & EVF, 5 or 6 fps in mechanical shutter, Tilting LCD, crippled video specs (4k 24p & 30p cropped) for about $1499-$1599. That would be an instant buy for me. Please Canon. 🙏

Why make another cheap camera instead of making decent and varied lenses for the rf system ? Especially if u r going to close it to third party
