SZA - 'Ice Moon' (Official Video)

Earlier this year we discovered SZA's second, self-released EP, 'S': eight tracks of awesome, which we listened to straight through, and then we went straight back to the beginning to press play again. A pitch-perfect blend of glowering, boomy beats, fluttering synths, and SZA's luxuriant tones, the St. Louis-born singer messes with R&B and serves it up fresh. So it came as no surprise when Top Dawg Entertainment (Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q) snapped her up. "Ice Moon" is lifted from 'S,' and its accompanying video is, much like SZA herself, rooted in reality but magic at the same time.

This is such a beautiful song. Its a spirtitual song which speaks about purity and finding the beauty within yourself and your soul. And she just wants to escape from everyday life and go to a place and a space where everyone shows their light and beauty. Its really stunning and the video is just that, simple, symbolic, peaceful, beautiful and in my represents that place visually and shows wat shes talking about.

This girl is just amazing, no half-naked-ness, no fake ass persona! Just a beautiful girl with amazing music! This is PURE TALENT. I never heard music like this before and I really like it you can't compare her to anyone!

I love how she's so playful and earthy, to the point of the surreal. The music feels like it borrows from that era of 80s fantasy synth, the sort of ambient music you'd hear in a kid's adventure movie (think Labyrinth or Goonies), but coupled with this fantastically rich bass. 

Makes for the most wonderful effect. I'm officially a fan.

Listening to old songs and getting that feeling 🫠. I love old songs that just pop back up that I completely forgot about. This is the first song I believe I ever heard by SZA & would smoke to and felt so good with.
