GG - I really must thank you for all of your videos and the Amazon Interview Whizz Academy as well - I recently accepted an offer from Amazon the same week I was rejected for a related role; from what I understand, it was my responses to the behavioral questions that impressed the panel enough to recommend me to a different team. Thank you Gigi. I watched a lot of your videos to prepare for panel for a Sr. Program Manager non technical position. I received a call yesterday saying that I did not get the position but they thought I was a good fit and wanted me to if I was willing to relocate for a PM non tech. Long stort, I accepted the verbal and am waiting for my offer letter. I have a sell call with the hiring manager next week. Ahh, I was part of a pool of roles. I originally applied to a Front-End Engineer I role but they swapped me to a Front-End Engineer II role before the final round of 5 interviews.
Just got a "Rate your Recruiting Process" email 2 weeks after my 1 hour phone interview, which is a little concerning but so far I still have the 5 interviews scheduled 2 weeks from now.

Let me share my experience :) I prepared to the interview with GG's videos and passed all rounds of interview process. Then recruiter met with me and told, that I did amazing job, however they decided to hire internal candidate. So I didn't get the role I applied for BUT the recruiter proposed me to apply for an alternative role in the same team (which is even 1 level higher vs what I applied for). Also, recruiter told me that I can search for other roles and she will help me with application (plus share recommendations from previous hiring manager).

Now I understand better why my recruiter told me after my loop “You couldn’t move forward but we’d like to have ur application again with better examples for a specific LB”. I thought he was just too polite to say that I was rejected 😅

Just to share a friend’s experience after I’ve read so many comments in the past days and saw all of your great videos! - He heard from his recruiter after 6-7 working days with a good news but he was scared because his status changed from under consideration to no longer under consideration before receiving his call. So everything could happen… good luck!

Hi GG, thank you for putting up all the amazing content. I recently appeared for the loop and got selected! I goofed up once earlier but later I came across your channel and it has helped me so much with your specific to the point details which you share. If I felt nervous or felt missing out few details I would circle back to one of your videos and focused on preparations. I found your non LP interview tips really valuable and those really helped to calm down during the process and allow the interviewers bit of breathing time as well. Much respect GG for helping so many candidates.

Hi GG, hope you are well! I completed my loop round on Monday for a specific role and found out today I was unsuccessful as they felt the role was too advanced for my skill set. However the feedback was I had great skills that tie in with the Leadership Principles and would be a great fit for AWS. The recruiter is now looking to match me for other opportunities and stated I would not have to go through the loop round again (just a chat with the recruiter). This ties in with what you stated could happen on a rare occasion.... They stated I should reach out in a weeks time if I haven't heard back from anyone by then. I'm happy with that outcome and thank you! I used your content to prepare for my interview 🙂

What if you were informed that you were not selected but the recruiter wanted you to stay in touch with them?

Thank you for this! I have a call with my recruiter tomorrow and I was informed I did not get the role I applied to (I believe it may have been a pool type role) but that the team feels I might be a better fit for a different role (she gave a specific title) and we can discuss next steps tomorrow. I appreciate knowing I probably need to brace myself for the interview process again. I am not totally shocked though my first panel had 5 rotations and 3 felt like they went fantastic and 1 was ok and 1 my brain shorted out and I think my written piece was very strong. So at least I know what my call might entail tomorrow!

After three technical interviews and one-half behavioural, I finished all my rounds and days later the recruiter sent me an email saying that the hiring team will be contacting me regarding the further process and offer discussion, and also that the feedback received was good. So, does this mean I got the role, or they will offer me another lower position? It is so uncertain, but I'm so proud of myself for getting to this point :) Thank you GG for all the content, For every interviewer I had, I imagined they were you and I wanted and tried so hard to impress them since you seem to be a really good and challenging interviewer. Thank you again :)

Interesting info, GG - it answers a question I've been confused by. It looks like I'm interviewing on a pool req, which is why there's been an odd lack of specificity from my recruiter. It also makes it harder to prepare for the technical part of the interview, since there's no job description to work against. Obviously all of the leadership principles still apply but I feel like I'm going to walk into this interview panel only 75% prepared... (Now to go search your videos to see if you ever talk about pool requisitions)

Thanks for the clarification. I actually ended up in the last scenario myself and was doubting the possibility of "Not being a fit for the role, but being a good fit for the company" and what that entailed. Really helps with my esteem for my next role attempt.

the outcome of the Amazon interview is that despite being told over and over you will receive feedback with 5 days of the interview, and this was the final stage interviews that took 4 hours on line, and then asking 3 times for that feedback you still get ignored. well done Amazon, 2 out of 10 from me

I just had an interview with Amazon Japan but unfortunately I didn't make it to the second round.
I did fail on one of the 3 questions, there's no question about it.

I have received the below email from the recruitment coordinator.

''Thank you so much for your interest in (ID: ...) position with Amazon.
We appreciate you taking the time to interview with our team.
At this time, we have chosen to proceed with another candidate who has more leadership experience.
However, we were impressed with your background and industry knowledge and feel you would be a great culture add for our company.
We will be posting a few positions in the coming weeks, and hope you’ll consider applying again.
Otherwise, we wish you the best of luck in your career endeavors.''

I wonder if she was just polite or if I am actually encouraged to apply again.

Based on your following video, I feel like I fall under "'not inclined but recycled"'.

May I ask your thoughts about it?

I feel like applying immediately to 2 other roles but I wonder if I'm making a mistake.
