Masicka, real name Javaun Fearon, was born on September 4, 1992. He is a multi-talented musician, DJ, and songwriter. Hailing from the streets of St. Catherine and Portmore. This savvy lyricist, a resident of Independence City and a Calabar High School graduate, was destined for greatness from an early age at the popular Kingston-based institution, which also happens to be the alma mater of Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel and former Jamaican Prime Minister Percival James Patterson. He began developing his craft as a teenager, inspired by dancehall giants such as Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel, and delivering his own songs at local gatherings and talent competitions. He started his career in 2010 and has since become one of the most well-known names in the genre. His unique style combines enchanting vocal flows with hard-hitting lyrical content, earning him a loyal following in Jamaica and beyond. Masicka's previous efforts include The Messiah, Reigning King, Win or Lose, and ‘Generation of Kings’ . He has also received various honors, including the E,M,E Award for Best Newcomer in 2017. Aside from his musical triumphs, Masicka is well-known for his philanthropic endeavors, which include leveraging his platform to give back to his community and assist numerous charitable causes.
