I think the scene where Pan grabs at the sky is her reaching out for Gohan ( she's done so in several other episodes where Gohan is flying away or just entered the room); He fights in his base form when dressed as Saiyanman to hide his identity, but Pan being around with an enemy who's power seems to be growing exponentially,  Gohan realizes he can't afford to mess around, so he goes Ssj2, or 3 idk,  hence the flash of Gold. This is my opinion as a fan of DBZ.

I think the hit fight is still coming, but in order for the series to make sense for Gohan to avenge is fathers death, we need to see what gohan has accomplished since we left off with him.

"Oh you people wanna see Gohan again? Ok here you go! Bam! A filler episode that is most likely gonna recap on every major event of Gohan's life and won't be adding anything new or will jsut be some random bullshit we will come up with. Yeah what a way to make gohan great again, we are genius guys, this will keep the fans happy". I'mpretty sure this is how it will play out, Toryama doesn't care, Toei doesn't care, only we care but we don't control anything so we will keep getting Gohan's unending invisible training and he won't be getting any stronger. DBZ always showed improvement for Gohan in every arc, including filler, DB Super has not and we cannot honestly believe that will change.

The baseball episode would have been a nice way to show Gohan's improvement if he hadbeen able to catch Goku's SSB throw and prevent the field being destroyed, now im not saying he'd jsut stop it completly, he should get pushed back but still be able to stop the ball and prevent any major field destruction, but that's not what they showed, they completly shit on Gohan yet again.

As a DB fan since i was 5 and almost 20 years later i have no faith in the people responssible for Dragon Ball Super. In my opinion the only good thing they've done was introducing the Gods of Destruction and the 12 Universes to expand things but besides that they are just re-using old plot points from DBZ, wich were better used in DBZ, they introduced Universe 6 characters that are only used for FILLER .... WTF... they introduce a guy like Zamasu who is a complete idiot and makes tons stupid decisions and killed everryone in 12 universes without being stopped and using a body he didnt access to the full potential, then he only has 1, 1, i mean 1, only 1 ONE confirmed kill it was a simple human, but despite being a super powerful semi immortal "God" he gets pushed back by everyone.... then There's Deus Ex Trunks...how can i have faith in this people? They made so bad decisions omg, look at Ressurection of Frieza arc, everyone hates it for manny reasons be it animation problems, be it story problems, be it making characters look like complete idiots, everyone has a problem with that arc.

I simply expect better quality than DBZ and that is not what is happening, all this years later and we don't really see any improvements to characters besides colored power ups, everyone has a power up with it's own hair color now, THIS IS NOT POWER RANGERS.

Gonna be kinda bummed if Beerus kills Hit. Would be nice to have Hit become a bigger character at somepoint but at the same time, where his power can just rise to be stronger than his opponent at such a rapid pace. Beerus is probably the only one who can take him down that isn't one of our main heroes.

dont yall remember? winner of the multiverse tournament gets wishes? They allow goku to fight while dead, they win the tournament and wish for gokus life back.

The Theory is that Gohan might get to become a super saijin God sage/mystic type which is suppose to be much powerful than the god mode that goku first unlocked, most know that Gohan has the potential to supercede his own father, but when that can happen again is anyone's guess, the last time Gohan surpassed his father was during the Cell arc.

Maybe hit was there to alert Goku and others about a threat coming to universe 7. The three new blue characters might be up to something. The death of Goku may be temporary. Whis might reverse time. Leading to this new arc. My predictions
