In this video QAR answers a student's question. He unravels the complex web surrounding Syed Muzzammil and the intricate dynamics between his anti-Pakistan narratives and the defence and promotion he receives from the RSS supporters.

Qaiser is a writer and a researcher of religion, science, and philosophy. He is one of the very few voices who converses with reason. He is known for his ardent criticism of atheism and (Pakistani version of) liberalism.

I wonder why Syed Muzammil never made a video on you. He never even spoke about you (at least I've never heard though I'm a regular viewer of his content).
While your videos are often based on sole discussion to criticize him.
You use his name in your video titles and even his pictures in your video thumbnails. 😂

Syed Muzammil is one of the very few intellectuals this country has ever produced.
His ideas, critique, analysis and vision regarding philosophy, politics, history, human rights etc. are far deeper, denser, authentic and powerful than any other person I've ever listened to, especially more than you.

I tried commenting on one of Muzammil's videos correcting one of the things he stated and quoted reference with a link to back my point, my comment kept getting deleted after every 1, 2 minutes of posting it. I thought maybe it's some other problem with censorship or so and tried removing and replacing some words too but to no avail and that is when I stopped following too religiously. Another time one of his "facts based" analysis videos led me to a single article and the entire video and entire analysis was based off of the summary of that one article and that drove me further away from watching his analysis videos. Finally, idk if it was just me but I never heard him speak about the recent Karachi mayor issue which made me think that for people like him and Shehzad Ghias (who also didn't seem to talk about it) democracy only matters when ppp and pmln are involved. I understand that they might have their reservations against JI but the least they could do was talk about it which they completely avoided. In contrast, I've found Jibran Nasir to have been much more consistent in his advocacy for democracy and human rights and justice. It's just what I have observed.

Syed Muzammil is a progressive young man trying to teach religious tolerance for other religions as well. To be a human &good Muslim its necessary.
Secular ka matlab anti islam nhi, unbiased hota hy. State jub tk unbiased nhi hogi wo Internationally apna image kesay soft kr skti hy. International relations agr develop he nhi krne to wo phir alag baat hai.

I fully agree with you that Muzzammil sb tells half truth & half fiction as per the choice of the audience. And his comments are generally not properly researched & based on a single writer's opinion. He's a crowd pleaser & not a genuine researcher. He needs to broaden his knowledge as the information he passes on to the viewers may be sufficient for the younger generation but not for the seasoned academia.

In the begining I also used to say that Syed M. is a gem but literally he is extremely negative. he is only promoting sucularism
If you want to know the history of Pakistan I would say that listen to (raftar) they also shows the dark facts of Pakistan but atleast they don't reflect secularism. You will find the great difference among them

I do follow Syed Muzammil's work and he is one of the primary reasons why someone like me, who detested political philosophy and yawned through most of my Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau in std. 11 as well as Kant, Camus, Derida, Machiavelli, in my Bachelors in Eng lit, got motivated a bit to explore political philosophy and not reject it as yawn-inducing. A lot of Muzammil's ideas resonate w me, primarily the importance of being a Secular state (I'm from India so have seen the worst effects of mixing religion (all the major ones) w politics. Toh iss janam mein toh apun non-secular ya theocracy nahi support karega). Having said that, I agree w Qaiser too. The Quaid-e-Azam Ph.d thing, I also googled it, and most answers I found were on Quora and some not so reliable looking websites. They said it's allowed. Tho I'm not sure if they allow Ph.ds that criticize Jinnah's ideology/actions/politics as, no mention of that, but doing a PH.D on Jinnah is allowed.

Secondly, I 100% agree w Qaiser on the tolerance of few liberals being very superficial and hypocritical. Aap agar tolerance preach krte ho toh aapko sab sab tarah ke ideas ko space dena padega and not just the "liberal" ones. I fundamentally disagree w Qaiser Ahmad Raja on of his views (esp his collab for lack of a better word, w Emaan union. For sm1 as well-read nd who wants to spread the goodness of Islamic morality nd curb Islamophobia, supporting those who insult other faiths is shocking. U dnt hv to insult Hinduism to spread islam. In fact, you are a good muslim Onlyy wen u respect other faiths), however that doesn't mean I don't appreciate his rationale, research and guts to stick to what _he_ believes to be the best for the country i.e speak his truth. I read the Syed-Qaiser twitter tussle and I did expect better composure from Muzammil. I understand everyone's human and when confronted, all of us tend to go on the defensive and stoop to criticism that has nothing to do w the person's ideology but as someone who supports free speech, he could have reacted better. I think Muzammil can reflect and learn from that experience.

I still love Muzammil's vids nd my respect for him hasn't lessened due to this incident bcoz i view him as human, and as someone who has as many flaws as others. It's not an either/or situation, I can respect both Muzammil and Qaiser's ideas so I don't understand why their audiences have to be this polarized to abuse the other.
