This video will walk you through the steps of creating the ADO.NET Entity Data Model Class Library for interacting with a database. In this video I made the assumption that you have already installed Visual Studio 2016 and SQL Server Express as well as the database that you want to work with.

In this video I cover the two steps:
1. Creating a Class Library Project for the ADO.NET Entity Data Model
2. Adding the ADO.NET Entity Data Model to the Class Library

What happend between 2:38 and 2:45 because you're unable to choose Entity data model in th first place but then it worked. Why is that so?

Once you are in "Connection Properties", how do you select the "Server Name". Even after clicking Refresh, I do not see any options in the text box. Do you need to create a separate database in prior? And if yes, any links explaining how to so that?

I appreciate your effort but you forgot the main thing: how to use/select the data.

I appreciate you tying to help others, but this was a horrible example. I am still lost staring at the cursor blinking, and you did not explain exactly how you added ADO.NET. I don't know if you clicked on the Reference and added it to the library or what. My assignment is due in two days and I lost two days trying to add this stupid ADO
