Today we got a pretty huge update to the Hazbin hotel leak situation including the hacker allegedly getting arrested and getting sued. We also had some updates from Vivzie and Gooseworx on the topic. I took a cybersecurity class, and one of the most common ways black hat hackers gain access to systems is through social engineering, usually with an email asking you to click a link or download an attachment. I believe the studios need to train their staff even more as to avoid incidents like this in the future and buff up their cybersecurity defenses

Kinda reminds me of what happened with FurAffinity a week after the owner's, Dragoneer's, death. The site's domain got rerouted to some twitter account, and FA's own twitter account got hacked and started posting really offensive and awful things. They eventually found the person who was responsible and got their ass arrested for a LONG time.

Anyone who tried to buy the stolen work DESERVE to be scammed. Knowingly buying stolen item, mayetials, or work is a crime.

I’m happy that the hacker has been caught. I also think it’s a good thing that Vivziepop quit Twitter, I wouldn’t blame her. Because there are some people on Twitter were giving her toxic comments about Hazbin Hotel. And the leak situation was a total disaster to her. I am also happy that some things are starting to get better with her.

I personally love spoilers. Seeing the early animation process and storyboards really gave me a greater respect for Viv's team and how hard they are working on this project for us. But all jokes aside, I am relieved that the hacker was caught so the team can take a deep breath of relief and get back at it. And for those who didn't want spoilers and stayed safe on the internet, I can confidently tell you all that season 2 will be well worth this torturous wait for the final product. It's going to be phenomenal.

When I first heard about the situation, I thought it was just a joke. So, I looked and saw that it was real. I wouldn't have looked if I knew it was real. People say that stuff leaked all the time! How was I supposed to know that this was real?!
