First time RV owner. I’m also a well trained mechanical/Electrical technician/owner. You did a great job explaining the system. Sub. Thank you

New RV owner. Thank you sir, 2023 prowler and the water pump already failed. Probably my mistake cause I had it running for 3 weeks straight. Then it started making a weird noise so I turned it off. This makes sense on my why my fresh water tank keep filling. Thanks. I was really thinking it was kids playing tricks on me

Just walked outside to close my grey tank valve and saw water dripping my my potable tank hook up. Checked the water level on panel and found it to be full. This is a 2022 camper. Thanks for your tips! It saved me❤

If your pump is working, just put in an in-line 1 way shark bite check valve

Also…. Remember to turn off your water miser during shower because you could leave your shower head running without realizing it. Then your tank fills and boom!! Overflowing fresh water!

🤯 excellent stuff to know. I was wondering why I had a PEX hose attached to my seaflo water pump that seemed to serve no purpose. 🤦‍♀️

Changing the pump is pretty easy if you can access it I had to crawl into the storage space under the bed and it really sucked but there was no one else to do it

I'm a new RV owner and I have a lot of water pressure from city water but no water is coming out of any of the sinks, and if it does stops after afew seconds, the water pump works really good tho, it's just the city water! I'll appreciate some help here 😢

Our pump makes no sound...so I don't know if it's even in operation. If I unhooked it altogether I wonder if that would remedy our problem.

If it's the check valve you don't need to replace the whole pump. Depending on how handy you are you can just replace the lower body for about $40 bucks. If you're even more handy you can replace the actual check valve for about $20 bucks. The whole pump will cost close to $80 for the 4000 series. Saving $20 bucks might not be worth your time so just replace the lower body. I go for the component level repairs to learn more about the systems on my RV. So I'd save the extra $20 and get the education to boot.

Hooked up to city water, water pump is not hooked up, and my fresh tank is filling and overflowing. Very new and naive to plumbing and especially to RV-ing. Brand spankin new to living full time in one.

Considering putting in an inline one-way valve. Still not sure which side of the water pump to do this on. Per my online research, some people do input side (suction) and some do output (discharge). I have no plumbing skills, whatsoever, but may tackle this since I don't want to pay a mobile RV repair person $120/hour... Input or output? Do you have any suggestions? Output seems to make more sense, so it doesn't back up into the water pump and filter.
