Roman Herzog

Roman Herzog was a German lawyer and politician who was born in 1934 and died in 2017. He served as Federal President of Germany from 1994 to 1999. After studying law, Herzog continued his academic career, specializing especially in constitutional law.

He also served as president of the Federal Constitutional Court, one of Germany's highest judicial bodies. During his term as president, he played an active role, especially in matters of European integration and Germany's international role. Herzog had a wide influence in politics and academia and made significant contributions to Germany's modernization processes.
