we had a mix of alaskan malamute, golden retriever(father) and german shepherd, siberian husky(mother), looked like a big yellow-ish wolf and here i see so much of her behavior (i miss her even after 11 years, but she was very long at our side whole 17 healthy years which makes me happy)

They're one of the most challenging breeds out there, and I wouldn't recommend them to hardly anyone, but for anyone who is equipped to live with a Malamute, they're the best dog you could possibly have. There's nothing like em.

I love the Malamute opening gifts - my first Husky Max did the same thing. Our current Husky gets all excited when he sees Christmas presents.
