I am wanting to use the extra processing power on the #PI5 to do some video manipulation and transcoding. I want to give a live feed of beauty spot but automatically blur out any faces and test. The earlier Pis and other boards are just not quite up to the job.

I would use the #PI5 to set up an instance of TensorFlow Lite and continue developing my knowledge of it from the machine learning module I've been completing at uni.

I would love to get a #PI5 to use as an IoT-server at work. I'm a teacher, and I have had this project in mind for a while of building a IoT network at our school using ESP32 microcontrollers sending sensordata over Wifi via MQTT to a local server, and then using Node-Red to collect and display the data on a dashboard. Everything programmed by the students while I set up and manage all the services. I've got it sort of working with a Raspberry Pi 3, but it struggles when handling a bunch of data at once, especially when I've got a bunch of student groups trying to configure and test their dashboards. From what I've read about the Pi 5 it should handle this sort of thing with ease!

#pi5 A flatulence detector. I'd install it in the bedroom to embarrass (and hopefully not incentivize) my girlfriend. It would likely use an SGP30/40 (purchased from Electromaker of course). Get it hooked up to a buzzer, some ws2812s, expose data to HomeAssistant (likely running on the same Pi), ensure it doesn't trigger when I'm the likely culprit...and we're off to the races.

Love the channel btw. I'll be sure to post anything constructive when I think of it. I'm fully aware of the challenges faced when working solo.

#PI5 I would attempt to build an open source cell phone with the raspberry pi 5. I say attempt because I’m not entirely sure if it’s possible, but I’ll do my best to push the limit.

I would create a ip kvm with POE!! I am starting my homelab and have reached the point of having multiple machines that I would like to be able to remote into for setup when adjusting bios and setting up new devices!

I would use the Pi as a music midi synthesiser. The last Pi I used was when the original pi zero came out, so I'm interested to see what has improved. #PI5

I'd use the Pi5 to be a Wireguard VPN server (I'm behind a fibre gig connection) so then can connect my iPad/laptop/phone when I'm remote and access my home network (and access UK geo-restricted services) #Pi5

#Pi5 I'd love to use one with an Arducam PiNSIGHT to implement an AI camera. I've used a number of Luxonis cameras and this sounds like a very useful combination.

I have been wanting to get a raspberry pi 5, and this will be my first raspberry ever :))
I will use the pi 5 along with my flight controller, and I want to try out arduino cloud with the pi 5. I will make a flying machine, and maybe trying out machine learning with the pi 5 as well 😅

#pi5 I'd use it to replace our Home Assistant server, since that's currently running on an old Razer gaming laptop that doesn't even have built-in ethernet.
