Well I finally pulled the trigger on one of these ad1200’s. Adorama had them on sale again and just in time for me to do a bunch of dance studio portraits. I bought this mainly for The faster recycle times you get at a lower power compared to my AD600’s offer. And yes it Will be nice for those very sunny days. But I am excited to try out more action shots with it for the sports portraits I do. Great video

Did you figure a way to turn down the fan noise (for when the modelling light is off for example); I'm finding the noise level very annoying. cheers!

Does the AD1200 modeling lamp stay on for hours if plugged into AC power? My AD600 shuts off after an hour or so

Man you just posted a video on what I have been looking at. I already have 2 ad600’s and I have been debating on buying the duel head extension flash that connects to both aD600sand it will give you double the power or just go and buy the Ad1200 . I am still on the fence on what to do. I have been getting into taking more sports action shots for the school’s teams, we have been doing volleyball action shots for each of the players. And the recycle time it is starting to slow me up with just one ad600. So if I get the ad1200 I can lower the power rate and have a faster recycle time. And I can pick one up at adorama for $1200 I think.
