This video looks at the past week in the stock market and considers whether or not we're now on the way out of the bear market and if a new bull market has begun. After the latest inflation data from the US came out, the stock market rallied and had one of its best-ever days. The Nasdaq popped more than 7% and still continued to rally off the year lows, so is this a new beginning or just another bear market trap? Lets weight up the pros and cons to see.

Mostly cash something like 90% of my investment portfolio. Made 80 quid on gold in the last week, so will just leave the 80 quid for a few decades. I'm still waiting for a big crash which I think will happen next year. Agree normally on the timing argument, but if I can see it happening in less than 12 months I'd rather wait for the true panic. At the moment it's just ripples in the ocean

I am just investing what I can each week / month and not really thinking about it to be honest. My only regret is that I didn't start earlier!

Great video again - these are exactly the things I am thinking about right now.
The big spike this week might just show how much money is just waiting to go into the market as soon as there’s any good news at all. My feelings are that people are getting used to the war and carrying on, the virus is more or less over and inflation is the final hurdle before it’s a full bull market again. But what do I know, I’m usually totally wrong lol

I accidentally sold 5% of my portfolio this week. My intention is to just buy back the FTSE 100 index tracker I sold and chalk up the lessons learned.

However, I can't help myself ... I'm waiting for the FTSE to go down before doing that ....

Another great video toby, I'm Still DCA on my S&P/Semiconductor & Cybersecurity ETFs and DCA some stocks that are at fair value META/GOOL/AMZN but got 70% cash waiting for MSFT/AAPL/ADBE and a few other big players to get to fair value, i may be wrong but can see stocks going down more ie S&P to 3200 or even to covid low 2500, full reset to the stock market

Good stuff Toby 👍🏻
The rally was data driven which while great then leads into what will happen come later today in the UK and early December stateside?? A re test of 3, 500 for the S&P is expected by many in early 23 and the full impact of the budget in the UK will come into force next year too. Where will that leave the markets??
I have top sliced some profits recently and have cash ready to go back in on dips so continue to do what I have done for years. I would sooner be in than out but always hold cash as you have to keep some powder dry for when things turn ugly!!

I am 100% in cash until I see the S&P return supportee by a turn in the Nasdaq. There is still 12 months of pain to go IMO

I am all in! I have a small amount of cash but I am keeping that in my trading account to go in to my and my wife's ISA next year.

In my ISA and SIPP i have some cash but that is only to make some trades at the end of next week.

I wonder if market volatility in some ways is due to the large amounts invested in ETF's
