INAV & Betaflight with DJI's new O3/O4 Updated Font

*BETAFLIGHT FINALLY HAS THE CORRECT FONT & INAV CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!*

In this video you will be able to see the updated Betaflight font that came with the release of the O4 Air Unit. Although almost 7 years late, DJI finally fixed the mistakes they had on a few imprtant symbols from the Betaflight font - I guess better late than never!

This allowed the resure of some of these symbols for much improved INAV integration of the DJI_COMPAT mode. I guess it can be called BF_COMPAT mode again, since now all the icons lign up exactly with the Betaflight icons.

They just released the final INAV 8 version, and literally hours later, this guy already has his fork compiled and available. You're truly awesome. For what is worth, I know this is DJI's fault, I know INAV chose to not include your fix and handle it differently, but I trully believe in spite of DJI, what you are doing is the right way to handle it, and you are doing a service to many, many members of the community who are grateful for your work. Please excuse my ignorance, could you please tell me how to install the symbol files? What is the installation process like? Should you also enter the INAV CLI or what should be done with the files? I have Goggles 3 with DJI O4 INAV 8.0, thank you

Just to be clear... do you need to add any of these mentioned files ONTO the MicroSD card that sits in the Goggles3? I'm assuming the .hex files are for the iNAV FC firmware flash, is that correct? Then, with the correct FC O4 firmware, you'd set the UART that the TX/RX is connected to as the "MSP Connection" in the ports tab, then select BFHD in the OSD tab? Then it should be working?

I have your version of INav 8 for O4 AU installed, and I get the proper fonts in the OSD, but I cannot arm the AU at all. Is your firmware supposed to have the fix for that (it's in the official iNav 8 release) or not?

New dji o4 g3 version from 03.05.2025 now fully support inav osd, about friking time!!!

Hi Dzaro, let me ask you. What GCC do you use? I am asking because I use JETI gear and since INAV devs stopped using GCC 9.3.1 and moved to newer GCC version INAV became not reliable for JETI users. Fortunately when code is compiled on GCC 9.3.1 it still works.

Very good work, but in your firmware folder I can only find INAV 8 for the O4!!!
Shouldn't the firmware for the O3 be in there too?

Ive been away from dji for a while. Is this video showing full betaflight osd in dji goggles? That didnt exist before, right?

I have SpeedyBee F405 Wing flashed with your build, but still no OSD on Goggles 3 with O4 Lite.
Workarround is set as ON, port is set as DJI FPV. What else I am missing?

I do hope I can manage to upload this in cli... since I never have done anything even remotely similar!! but I will give it my best try! and as you say... it is brutally frustrating specially with the fact that DJI Products are not cheap to begin with...
