This song really hits me every time I listen to it. The lyrics are incredibly emotional and the way your voice emphasizes the sorrow just makes my heart start to ache.

I myself have been through something like this song indicates. I lost the love of my life because of my reckless decisions and horrible lack of maturity. I have missed her every second that she is gone from my life. I ache for her presence and her voice to be back in my life, but I understand that we are better off separated. She is anyway. She deserves the greatest of men in the world. She is the greatest person I have ever known. She is so kind, so smart, so beautiful both inside and out.. Honestly she will never not be the love of my life. The only woman I want to have children with and the only girl I see myself marrying. Commitment always shook me before, but not this time. I was so ready for it all. I love her more than life and I just hope that she's happy. If I have to suffer for her to be happy in life, then so be it.

I can honestly relate to this. I had to let go when I knew he did me wrong and the fact that was the sign he wasn’t the one for me. It was one of the hardest decision I’ve ever made because I never wanted the relationship to end, but God showed me it had to. So, I did what was right. I let go of him, but at the end I realize what a blessing that was and knowing I no longer have to feel like I have to be hurt by that person again!!

This song got me through so much. At first when I listened to this was when it first came out. Which was around the time things went down with my ex and we broke up. At first it was a song I'd cry to, now it's a song I think about where I was at that time in my life which was heartbroken not only over him and how he treated me, but for the passings of loved ones and battling my own demons that I had developed over the years plus my anxiety and depression and self hate. Now I sing this/ listen to this song for my past self who probably is still going through this as the future me which is the me now. It's crazy how so much has changed with myself mentally and emotionally since then...
Learn to love yourself and over come your fears and stop putting things that aren't going to happen in your head. I know it hurts and will continue to hurt, but never show him that your finning for him or that your hurt. Listen to songs, write your heart out and just practice self love (mentally, emotionally, physically) and work for that bread sis. Chin up beautiful queen you got this.
