I for my self really like the primitive techniques because it's so fascinating of how we went from so low to so high.

Actually the oldest piece of pottery we found was dated back to 20, 000 years ago, so saying humans were making pottery for 9000 years was way off.

7:53 you missed one important part - you have to add an additional "base straw" so you have an uneven number so the threat alternates

Great idea to turn algae into sandals. As time goes on, hopefully, we sensibly do away with non-biodegradable, non-renewable resources.

Me, who has been eating my own nails since I was 3: *wait what*

"like the *fire plow, * however, no spindle or spinning is needed at all. In this method, a *hard wooden shaft* is *rubbed up and down* the length of a groove cut into softer wood. *This pushes out wood dust particles, * and these ignite as the temperature increases from friction."
That seems eerie familiar to another technique early ancient humans used exept it doesn't make fire...

As far as I'm concerned, more ceramic blades are produced today than ever in entire human history.
Yes, including the Neolithic era.

Don't forget the fraction of a second it takes to light a lighter.

When hunting, camping and in my emergency kit I carry a primitive fire starting kit. 2 or 3 pieces of flint. Charred cotton and tinder dry grass hemp rope scraps and birthday cables and wax impregnated cotton balls. It fits in a small bag and a 3 inch by inch tin. It starts fires in conditions that a match or a lighter will not work. I can also use most of the technology he covered here. With a strike a light kit and practice you can start a fire almost as fast or faster depending on conditions as someone with a match or lighter. So there I prefer ancient Iron Age Tech. At re-enactments I use bee's wax candle scraps or fat dipped fabric scraps
