We learned it to be called a walking bassline back in the day. It's old school and quality. Good to hear it being used in the electronic scene.

AT LAST! No other bugger even bothers to explain what swing is and how to implement it - But Sam has kindly taken the trouble to explain this fundamental, ESSENTIAL FACTOR. If you don't use this at the outset then you may as well give up- THANKS!

I've been learning music theory and musicianship for the last 6 months and it's helped me to also notice that theory you talk about, about small step wise movements for groove, and leaps make the beat more bouncy and partyish. It's nice to see that someone finally made a video about this!!!!

I'm Spanish and my english is very poor, but it's incredible the way you explain in your tutorials even when i cant understand what u say hahaha. They're better than all the spanish ones so far.

Great vid, man! Helped me a lot. Quick tip from a viewer, though: turn off auto-focus on your camera. Just focus on one spot and make sure you don't move too much, haha. Once again, thanks a lot for this video!

Edit: Talking about the intro mainly.

Bang on!, still more fun to play your bass line in then fine tune, also Logic Pro 16 C or 16 B quantise works well. Funny I just referenced a track am working on and bass starts the same first two notes. Quality content as usual Zen, liking your channel a lot lately. even seasoned old producers like me sometimes forget the basics.
