I've had cops tell me they don't have time for that crap and it's petty to even call, says the police.

The police may or may not get there quickly, but it’s the fact these crimes are of no importance to officers. Even if you get a license plate it’s usually a stolen car and if by chance they do get caught nothing ever really happens. That’s why it’s repeat offenders. They know they can get away with it. My car was stolen and 3 days later found by police. They called I went to get my car that had been filled to the ceiling with all kinds of stuff. The police told me it was mine now and nothing they could do. I got home went through the car and found industrial power tools, bowling balls, cell phones, purses, a gun, quarter pound of marijuana, used and unused needles, and a bag of crystal meth. This should have all been evidence but too much work for our public servants.
