Abstract: There is an exponential growth of data in the field of biological, medical and plant sciences. Aim of this talk is to introduce participants with techniques important for managing and mining big data. First, I will cover various repositories or databases and challenges in managing unstructured data which contributed to 80% of big data. Secondly, I will focus on advances in the field of data mining for extracting knowledge from big biological data.
