Fox has redesigned the Transfer Dropper Post, resolving the previous generation’s issues, along with extending service intervals and providing a wider variety of dropper lengths. We recently had the opportunity to check out the Fox Factory HQ and chatted with Engineering Product Manager Tom Pollock, who ran us through all the details on the new Fox Transfer Dropper Post.

Literally everything I've ever wanted in a dropper post. Hope they're as reliable as they claim.

Durable is definitely what we need, the last one was trash.

I have one on the way. 240mm drop. I had a oneup 210 I rode this season and just sold it. Terrible post. Constant stiction and serviced it 12 times. The other thing I noticed about the oneup was that the bushing would would push itself into the pins and developed gouges in the plastic bushing. So I’m hoping this new transfer post is really good. The inners they show in this video look better. I just need a reliable post that works well. The transx dropper that came stock on my previous bike was so reliable and half the cost of either the oneup or the old transfer. 🤞🏻

Just got one in 210. Fingers crossed Fox’s claim on durability and reliability holds true.

The new seat clamp on it looks heck of alot better! I have a brand new transfer on my 2024 emtb think it's the 2023 version sticks alot when sat for a day or so always needs to be pumped a few times to stay right

Nice update but i see absolutely no reason not to buy a oneup post. Looks easier to service and is way cheaper.

My current (2022) Transfer didn’t last one ride before it started sticking. Anyway, Fox has it under warranty and hopefully they can fix it.

Does Fox have easy DIY service and repair videos like OneUp and RockShox?

mine wiggled after 2 light rides. Is it normal?

What about black bolts/screws in the seat clamps?!

Perhaps a new lever as well?

Otherwise a lot to like for me. I’ll certainly be buying.

Well, now all there is to it is to see how this version will *_extend fully_* or not...

The changes look good on paper but we all need real world data.

I drank the kool-aid a second time and got the new 2025 Transfer. It’s got stiction at times if I do a DH run and then extend it, it doesn’t “pop” to full extension on the first go. I have to press the lever a second time to get it to extend fully. I see this is a common issue, not just me.

Meanwhile Rockshox can’t even get a 200mm AXS Reverb to the market

So, how do I tell if it's a 2025 Fox Factory Transfer? I ask as I have a three-month-old Pivot 429 (purchased Aug 2024) with a Fox Factory Transfer dropper and it's already sticking (it's now Oct 2024). I've removed the collar and lubed it several times (that helps for about a 90-minute ride), but it goes back to sticking.

Meh, not impressed with early 2020s tech being packaged as ‘new’ and 2x the cost 😂

I've had five FOX Factory Transfer Dropper Posts on five different bikes, and all of them needed servicing within just a few weeks because they got stuck while extending. Even after servicing, the issue persisted on all of them, and it continues to be a problem. I’m confident I’m not the only one with this experience, and it seems to be a design flaw. Has Fox addressed this issue in the 2025 model? I've not, don't buy one!

Wow, that’s amazing, Fox have figured out how to make a highly serviceable post in 2024 when other companies have been doing it for years!
More durable than the previous version Transfer? Well that’s not hard as the previous version was absolute dog shit. I hope this ‘engineer’ wasn’t involved in the previous version as I’d assume anyone involved in the previous design would have been fired.

never gonna buy a fox product again after they started charged for what is supposed to be the free orange caps that came with a service
