It’s a battery king. I have a 16 Pro Max and 16e. Only downside is night photos and MagSafe. My usage typically is heavy, 29GB hotspot daily, Teams calls, music streaming and calls. And around 38% battery left without topping up charge. This is no SE, it’s a tool rather than a trophy phone

i have been using it for a month now and i just want to tell you its amazing with the battery it comes and to be honest a normal phone user won't even get bothered with the notch or the camera. P.S - People will although go for a pro if videography is the concern.

Just my 2 cents here : i'm a SE user and the form factor is kind of the limit for my rather small thumb / hand (i was more at ease with 3GS and 4S). I'm a very basic user and i like it to stay simple and in the pocket. I tried the 16e in Apple Store (even if i knew i wouldn't buy it because it's too expensive) : it's too big and the square edges kind of hurt (the 16 is a little bit rounder on the edges but still too big). I don't really care for the Magsafe or Dynamic Island or Apple Intelligence (even if i'd take it as a bonus!). If they had put it all in the old SE form factor (getting rid of the bezels and home button) and cheaper, i would have probably taken it. I think i'm gonna look for a second hand 13 mini.

This is one beautiful phone. I’ve had an iPhone 13 Mini since 2022 and really tempted to upgrade to this - I’ll get a much better battery life at the expense of portability. I wish Apple released the 16e as a 5.4 inch, or at least give us that size option in addition to the 6.1 inch.

Agree with your review on everything that was covered. My SE 3 battery was down to 80 maximum for charging. I had to fully charge before leaving for work. New battery lasts all day easily if I don’t go crazy with music and videos.

I love Marques’ video where he visits the world’s most honest salesman who has no intention whatsoever to sell this phone to him (“Who are you ?”) 😊 It’s always fascinating how many different opinions there are about a certain Apple product, it’s all about perspective. But really if you’re that kind of person who don’t care too much about specs and features but fancy a new iPhone with great battery life, this is probably a good bet. I have an SE2 and was waiting for the SE4 to materialise. For me the crucial point was Dynamic Island which I think looks really cool, so I decided instead to go for a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro through a favourable company offer. Turns up in May I hope !

I'm a long SE fun, but still went for 16 Plus. The budget aspect is no longer there, so there's really no point. Yes, Apple's managed to upsell me. However, I'm planning to use this phone for 4-5 yrs so it's worth it.

I get my phone 16e today! I currently have an iPhone 12 Pro and I’m a simple person. I don’t really care about the camera because I have my canon G7X ii (if you know, you know). I don’t play games on my phone either.
I would say the little downside is the MagSafe from what I’ve been hearing except that won’t be a problem since the battery life is longer! I use my MagSafe on my iPhone 12Pro since the battery life is low…
It is affordable option for me! With these times, seeing how tariffs trump (trash man) put on - kind of makes sense.
