In this tutorial, I shed some light on NeMo’s text normalization functionalities and capabilities. In some pre-processing stages of Text-to-Speech (TTS), one might be faced with some semiotic classes to deal with such as date, time, currency just to name a few. An example would be to convert $2500 to simple text as “two thousand five hundred dollars”. This is easily achieved with NVIDIA’s NeMo Normalizer class within the nemo_text_processing toolkit.
