Street Party Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Vietnam

To celebrate the end of the year the entire neighborhood gathered in the street in a neighborhood of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Vietnam to share food and drink. It was delicious, loud and absolutely crazy. Everybody ate and drank until our bellies exploded. And then we sang karaoke into the late hours of the night. Everyone was happy, cheerful and animated. I am an American Expat in Ho Chi Minh City, (Saigon) Vietnam. (I dislike the word Expat). I have lived in Vietnam for 3 years, I am almost considered an expert at living abroad. And also fly around South East Asia, to tour and travel, But for now, this is my Vietnam life, my HCMC Saigon life, my expat life. I always thought living abroad would be scary, but it's interesting and fulfilling. The food is amazing, the culture is fascinating and the people are friendly and welcoming. If you ever wanted to take the leap to travel and live abroad, Tourism in Vietnam is buzzing right now since Vietnam reopens. I am often asked: are Vietnam borders open? I can see your daring decision kind of pay off that u wanted to break loose from the boring lifestyle in the u.s. n wanting to explores n experience the whole difference adventures now in Vietnam u found yourself a different identity n experience things that u would never imagine u would experience if u were living in the u.s. that's the mellow n chill life that I'm talking about in the u.s. u might not have a gathering like that at least not all the times maybe once in a while but in Vietnam u can meet up like that all the times. Are the beers strong as USA? You seem to drink a lot? How much does it take for you to be drunk? Do ppl blackout with those beer? Only 2 times I blacked out was drinking a bunch of Heinekens at a club. Buying from store I never blacked out. Idk why. Do they have Costco there?
