Nerves do heal. I had an almost complete amputation of my leg and my knee was obliterated. But with lots of donor parts. My surgeon saved my leg and I can walk. Thank you to all organ donors!!!

1:15 "I took a deep breath and I said 'all right, this is what we're dealing with"... What a great woman.

Major shoutout to his spouse for sticking by him through this. I've seen others leave over less. He's going through a lot and her support must mean the world to him.

I'm a blind person who recently received a corneal transplant on August 22, 2023 and I'm grateful for the sight that I'm getting. HOWEVER, this man and the surgical team are more than amazing. God bless this man and his family. I'm sure the daily maintenance to keep the eye alive could be exhausting but it's certainly worth it. Lastly, I did not use voice to text while writing this message. I manually wrote this message. Thank you Keck Medicine of USC Dr. K. Voss ❤

Not only the patient, but the remarkable doctors deserve our respect and support. Someday we as people might see our money funneled into good causes such as this instead of war and destruction.

It's crazy how he went through everything in his life, his military tours, and then seemingly safe at home after living a civilian work life for some time, he manages have such a severe accident, but again, not from war, but from a horrid accident at work. Glad he was able to not only survive, but receive proper care and seems to be doing good now.

As someone who has gone blind in one eye, and going blind in the other eye. I find this amazing that they could help this young man. And because of it maybe someday they can fix folks like me.

I'm a combat veteran who lost my arm in Afghanistan. I've had a full arm transplant and it's amazing. The donor was a beast of a man, I'm already a big guy but my donor arm is stupid strong. Such a strange thing!

My heart is with the family of the donor, they suffered an unimaginable loss but out of that loss came the most incredibly beautiful gift. This incredible gift gave 4 families hope, 1 of those families, a new lease on life. I thank them from the very bottom of my heart.

I'm blown away science has advanced to the point of doing eye transplants! This is amazing to see!

My uncle, ophthalmologist under Dr. Gerard at Baylor Med, proposed this eye procedure back in the middle 60's. He was laughed at. So glad to see it finally come to fruition. Prayers for this and future patients.

Don't know who to thank first, the veteran for having no fear in a new surgery, or the doctor for taking such a leap of faith and trust in his own hands to get it done. This makes me glad to be alive to see this. Thank you both.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of such a young man, and I hope it gives his family much comfort to know he provided this to 3 people. His new face looks amazing, and hopefully the eye will start to see things.

As someone born with a defective left eye I've wished my whole life for this kind of progress. This guy is a hero all over again and so is the medical team trying to make this possible
