In part 3 we explore the Tyranid operations against the Imperial rear lines meant to disrupt their logistics. In these struggles we will see the use of Nuclear Weapons from the defenders and a range of new bioforms from the attackers including the Ravener and Harpy.

Its great to see that in 40k years, our bug spray has grown to match the size of the bugs

It is nice to see that nukes being mentioned. Usually stories never involve proper representation of how humanity would fight threat like this.

during the Battle of Macragge, harpy's litterly choked the ground to space batteries with their bodies. the sheer mass of bioforms the Hivefleets have at their disposal is staggering

This feels like old History Channel documentaries of WW2 Battles that my father loved watching. Finding one for Warhammer 40k this good, makes me feel like I am connecting with him even after his passing. Thank you so much for this.

Can't wait for the Tau documentary. Admittedly they are actually a small faction in Warhammer 40k, nothing compared to Space Marines, Tyranids, Orkz, or Chaos, so will probably a year before we see them on this channel, but that's okay. This is cool to watch, looking forward to hearing how the Tyranids finally get to have a nice dinner after a long day of work.

“I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure”.

One of the things I like so much about this vid is how the Guard are depicted as fighting with effective tactics and compience. Not just throwing waves of men at their foes. The issue is that the Hive Mind continues to outmanoeuvre them

Compulsory monthly astropath reports to sector command would neatly solve that pesky shadow in the warp effect of not being able to call for help. Silence would then act as such.

Imperial up gunned mag-lev-steam train! Thats quintessential hardcore 40k right there. I would love to have it as a terrain piece or objective marker on my table.

Tyranids are, short of teleportation, capable of arriving at any, and every, location.
Hard to cover every weakness your enemy exposes when said enemy has no need to care about their own supplies, and outnumbers you 1200:1.

Amazing video as always!

6:24 has me thinking that Nuclear Ballistic Submarines are still relevant in the 41st Millennium. Actually on a larger note I feel like in all science fiction having planetside SSBN's will continue to be a relevant strategic decision. Like a stealth ship is kinda just alone in space making it easy to pick up with some sort of sensor, but if you have an entire planet's ocean to hide under it's going to be super hard to find subs hiding there. Water would be a completely different medium from space so even if your aliens have advanced sensors for space I doubt they'll be specialised for water as well. Even if they have planetwide general scanners, knowing the oceans have an unusual amount of steel in them isn't going to help you guide a missile. Just interesting.

i just love that clip of an unreasonably souped up train literaly plowing through its enemies while unleashing its weight worth in ammunition. Just imagine this in a game like foxhole, logi runs are gonna be arguably more dangerous than frontline combat

I’m sure the imperial guard could best the Tyranids if they dug enough ditches. Just ask the Dutch ditch guy!

Tragic situation if the only Air Force you have is Valkyries and nothing else, not a single Thunderbolt or Lightning Racing through the Sky apparently...
I like to believe the Planetary Governor probably fucked over some Navy Admiral or smth and as Punishment all the Thunderbolt/Lightning Shipments just happen to be "Very Very Late" lol.

Oh. These videos are amazing. The depth, the details, the story. I'm hoping that an imperial fleet arrives with a few company's of ultramarines!
