Premium powercreep started with Scorpion G. Before that they where crew-trainer/money printers. But With Scorpion G the entire premium idea got changed.

I would say you forgot the hwk 30 / m41 90 in this list. Really nice alternative to play lts, and even if it doesn't have the stealth of an elc, nor the armour of an lt-432, the view range is really good, and the gun is pretty good so that you aren't totally useless on city maps (also the HE shells are so fun, even if not as op as the my man td).

This video is why I like the T34-3 so much, unique alpha for its tier with a decent turret and not amazing hull armor, but can bounce if used well!

Glad to see someone talking about Bisonte. I started to play it a bit more recently and sometimes it feels like people forgot it has an autoreloader.

Out of the bond shop I would also say the Patriot. The armour can hold up and it has a good mobility for a heavy tank. At the same time, it has some obvious weakspots and the gun has low damage per shot so you have to think a little bit. Combined with it being one of the cheaper bond shop tanks on tier VIII and the low price for ammo it's a good tank for credit making, even though it's propably not as fun for everyone.

Man, never expected to see anyone talking about 112. Had this tank for years and I've never seen anyone talking any good about it, despite it being Chinese IS-6. Real good n' fun tank. Thx for makin' my day guys!

when it comes to the nerfing of premiums, theres also the legal standpoint of it because if someone buys a premium tank and it then gets nerfed, the company is opening themselves up to potential lawsuits, im not entirely sure of what law it is but its the "this isnt what i brought" so unless WG puts in some kind of warning/disclaimer that its stats might change in the future they could be placed in a situation that they could lose alot of money

I would say the community shares the blame. You can say dont buy all you want but there are some who dont care a will reward practices like lootbox tanks every year while calling you poor.

Thanks a lot for vids like this. I stopped playing Wot Xmas 2020. But still very much enjoy watching WoT content. And this video in particular sums up why i no longer play wot.

fighting tanks with weak spots was such a good thing back than. e.g. the machine gun port. facing hull down monsters in +2 Mm is just pain.

The Pz58 Mutz is also fun to play while being average: good movility, ok gun, HE has 90mm of pen, surprisingly it's armor can pull out some miracle bounces, specially the joint of the upper and lower plate since it has 200 mm and some people would aim at this central point to the tank and bounce.
The FV4202 can also work although is not that special, but I still enjoy it

My-man I love the AEG talk show.
However, i have to disagree on the part you said playing non-meta tanks just to send WG a message.
We all know WG only care about P2W customer, and most of them like to crush the others with their op-meta tank. If you play non-meta tank, your are only serving these customer for WG by showing how OP the tank they bought.
I think what we should do is to stop playing this game and let these P2W customers fight against each other, let them spamming gold to each others op-meta tank. Let them enjoy the sh*t show they made for their own.
WG will perhaps do something right only when these P2W customers demand to have a balanced environment.

I rarely play T8 because of the ridiculous got to have meta tanks that plague the game.
I completely agree with you guys on spending money in different areas of the game.
Switching chat off in-game is free and makes the game less stressful too.

I have around 40 tier 8 premium tanks atm (lost track of it) but anyway i can't agree more with you guys, there are so many underrated premium tanks just because of tanks like bourrasque and BZ 176 etc. I have premium tanks that i didnt play for years because of this, i always loved to play the T34 for example but it just can't compete to the other power creeps these days. I hope this will all change in the future. Keep up the good work edgar and zwhatsh

My idea of balancing the game would be to buff most of the tech tree tier VIII tanks so they could compete with the premium ones, and make an option to convert them to premium tanks by using gold. That way wg could generate income and players who don't wanna pay could have a decent tier VIII tank.
