Pasay Harbor City Update

Pasay Harbor City is a ground-breaking development project involving the reclamation of 265 hectares of offshore areas in Manila Bay to build a new cosmopolitan, eco-friendly, and iconic waterfront city — “The Manhattan of Manila Bay.

Pasay Harbor City will be accessible via a multi-lane arterial road connecting to the existing CCP and MOA Complex. Transit nodes within the City are designed to encourage walking and alternative modes of transportation. The waterfront and parks will be within walking distance from any point in Harbor City, providing comfort, safety and gathering areas for pedestrians.

The seven districts in Harbor City – Gateway, Channel East, Channel West, Central Park, North Dock, South Shore, and West Wharf – were defined according to the orientation of each coastline and its relationship to Manila Bay. Land uses within each district will be compatible with each other to develop unique places across both islands and more flexible possibilities of use.

Overall transport inter-connectivity will be in unison with adjacent developments within the area such as trains and upcoming subways within Metro Manila. Harbor City will boast of a 9-kilometer waterfront, 89 hectares of road network and open and green spaces, including mangrove forests, a central park, a linear park network, and pedestrian-only corridors.

Sofitel hotel closed because GSIS which owned the property was foolish to not allow Sofitel to have a longer lease. Sofitel can't invest if the lease duration is short. GSIS should be made to answer why they can't give Sofitel a longer lease period.
