Eiffel Tower Elevator Ride

This is a footage of the ride up on the Eiffel Tower's elevator. It's consisted of two separate elevators: the first one gets you either to first or second floor, on the first floor there's a restaurant. For those who want to get to the top of the Eiffel Tower, they need to switch to a second elevator that brings you to the top.

In my opinion, on the second floor there's much more to see and it's more seeable because there's no fencing and nothing blocks your view. On the top there's a crisscrossed fence which blocks your view, you can't take a picture or a shoot a video and it pretty much ruins the experience.

I remember taking this exact elevator as a 10 year old kid and absolutely hating it. I had, and still have a fear of heights. All I can remember is laying on the floor and doing everything possible to not look outside lol. I think I would still be sick today if I took it.

From the top looking out, you really can tell that Washington DC really was inspired so much by the design of Paris. It's actually uncanny. When I saw a glimpse of it, my first thought was "That looks like Washington" haha

Omg I went up on the 2nd floor on my school trip in the 1980s. I wasn't scared of heights then. I loved it. Thank you for this❤️

I first took the elevator in 1972, again in 1974, again in 1975, again in 1984, again in 1986, not bragging, but I love Paris and the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Hope Yvonne remembers.

I don’t like elevators/lifts with windows. It just seems more terrifying. Wonder if any of these elevators have got stuck before and how they remove the people.

Walked up those stairs and taken the centre elevator to the top...brilliant view...a feat of engineering...at the top you can look over the edge and see the curvature of the legs...it does slightly sway at the top...

I really don't like heights. That buzzer at the end would have killed me! I did ride the London Eye. I just wanted to lie on the floor!

This is a modern elevator cab. Just imagine this experience with a turn of the century elevator cab. And to the top, no less... I'll bet history says a lot more people then walked it up.

I went a couple weeks ago. France is the most gorgeous place ever and Paris is the most amazing city in the entire world. Like it still takes my breath away. I miss it already

Did you know that when hitler went to France they disconnected the elevators so if he wanted to go on the tower he would have to take the stairs??
