Superman was always a character that emboldened hope to me, the situation would get so dire and dangerous but Supes would come in and not only fix it, but take the brunt of that punishment over everybody because he could take it. He may be invulnerable but he still felt pain which makes him endearing because he still fights, similar to spiderman in a way.

This trailer really gave me that feeling, right from the very beginning. Hopeful for this movie too!!

Poor Brandon Routh clearly forgotten now with the audience of today. Superman Returns was the closest we got to a return to the iconic Christopher Reeve/John Williams Superman. Superman The Movie and Superman II remain the greatest outings of Supes and Clark Kent.

I do envy your whole family loving films, watching & talking about them together, I wish my family and I did things like watching movies together and discussing them too. I'm not even an emotional guy, but every time I see this trailer/reactions I get in the feels lol. I was born in the early 80’s and grew up watching the Christopher Reeves films and the original cartoons. I guess it gave me a major feeling of nostalgia when I was a kid. It's a feeling of hope. Now as a grown man having to play Superman to my family. I still have that inner child in me holding on to hope.
