About controlled access highways, what are the best controlled access highways per continent? I know one in North America but in my opinion, the best controlled access highways in North America are the 400-series highways of Ontario, Canada. Because of those, they're well designed for quicker access around Southern Ontario. One of which is the busiest highway in North America aka the Highway 401, the backbone freeway transportation through Southern Ontario spanning 828 km from Windsor to the provincial border of Ontario and Quebec.
