Decent Value. I bought a few of these to give to friends and family members if SHTF.
Great Gift Idea. wink wink
I could see these help SUSTAIN you during an emergency ( Mostly carbs , no meat ).
Can easily add meats or veggies to stretch them out.
Small enough to store in cars, trucks, office drawers, coat closets, backpacks, motorcycle saddlebags, and more. To prepare your meals, simply add water and simmer, and you’ll have hot meals to satisfy your appetite and warm your soul.

Per Augason, the shelf life isn't affected when you open the bucket, only when you open the package. I sent my son some of those buckets. He liked the food and he's picky. Our stores actually sell those. Same price. Look in the camping section and where they have bulk packages and #10 cans. I see them in both areas. Good haul. Blessings.

I too bought one of those two years ago. I opened mine then. The meals are packed in mylar. They can be arranged to make more space for plastic spoons, forks and a knives. Also you can get one of those Dak hams in there and a Molly McButter and a SMALL bottle of pancake syrup.. I didn't worry about opening the lid. Mylar does the job. Just thought I'd add that info.

$20 is a lot of money for a 2 day supply. For folks who have little extra money ask the bakeries, restaurants and grocery stores if they have buckets with lids that they can give you. Some charge $1 for them. Clean it well and dry it. Then fill it with items that will get you thru 48 hours. I would get pop top canned items like baked beans, Vienna sausage, spagettios/ ravioli, lg cans soup, cold cereal and shelf stable milk and a box of plastic utensils. Date the bucket and rotate out items like cereal and milk ( which has about a year before going stale).
$10
