Size DOES Matter!! | Building a HUGE Media Console

How to Build a HUGE Media Console with Decorative Metal Panels // Entertainment Center ...In this video I build one of my largest pieces of custom furniture to date...a 9-½ foot media console with decorative metal panel doors. Media cabinet seems to be the more modern and hip term for an entertainment center, but I'm pretty sure they serve the same function. This was a monster piece that I built in several sections to keep it modular for painting and transportation purposes. It took a lot of thinking and head scratching to make it all possible, but I think the end result looks great and luckily it fit together like a giant jigsaw puzzle and not a Rubik's Cube. Let me know what you think!!

Hey Keith, usualy i say nothing about security stuff but, here i had to 🥶 If you want to start your dado at a line, you ABSOLUTELY need to to have the back of the peace ( neer you) be on the table saw and the rest like you said slowly and bingo !! Why this way you say ??? Because of the saw direction, going towards you . If you want to keep your fingers that’s the way to do it 👍🏼👏. I just love to watch your vids, cats and your jokes 😜👍🏼❤️🇨🇦

Oh to have the bag of tricks that you have in your head! Chamfering bit for the stops in the back of the panels to make it look like a miter. So impressive!

Turned out really beautiful. As others I listened to the podcast first and was excited to see the finished project. Outtakes of your misadventures would have been great but I have a feeling you weren't in the mood for filming. Thanks for sharing!

Keith, your work is always meticulous and almost as sharp as your wit.

Watching this one in particular got me thinking of pricing and how a piece of painted furniture like this seems deceptively cheap to build/have custom made, but the level of craft involved (and pure cost of materials) merits a pricetag higher than most would expect.

Not to talk inside baseball, but I'd be interested to watch a video or two about how you make a custom woodworking business work financially, given all the factors at play.

Really beautiful work, Keith! It looks fantastic! 😃
I didn't understand at first why plywood with MDF vernier, but if it's going to be painted... Makes sense. It's much easier painting vernier than plywood!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

What a massive and incredible project! I’m amazed at some of the detail you showed, especially around the metal on the inside of the doors. Great work, Keith!
