What is Assembly Lube?

When building or modifying an engine, assembly lube plays a big role in protecting parts from wear at start up.

Assembly lube is a high-viscosity oil with tackifiers (or a grease) that must remain in place no matter how long it takes to finish your engine, protect against wear at startup and get out of the motor oil’s way once the engine is running.

AMSOIL Assembly Lube excels in all three areas. Watch this video to learn more.

Hi Amsoil, Because I use Amsoil in all my engines I have no use for assembly lube at the present time. Is there any chance you will put your 100% Synthetic Multi-Purpose Grease
(GLCCR-EA) in a convenient little squeeze tube like that? 🤔

Amsoil can you drain out a factory fill and use Break-in oil for better initial wear characteristics than the factory fill which in most cases already contains friction modifiers like a regular shelf oil?
