I went from 200 to 140 pounds. I am 5’3. I can totally relate to everything you’re saying. Especially the always feeling like the heaviest girl in the room still. Weight loss is a roller coaster of emotions.

I agree with your list. No one ever tells you that keeping it off is harder than taking it off. When you are seeing the pounds drop it is very motivating to continue. Once you've made your goal It can be hard to stay motivated.

I lost over 100 pounds in less than a year and have no loose skin. Genetics certainly played a part, but I think quality fats were the most important factor. I cooked everything in duck fat! No vegetable oils! Still a big girl at 5'10" and 170 pounds, but not at all overweight now, and kept it off for 3 years so far. Permanent changes, not a diet one is on, then off.

Thanks for this. I’m almost 60. I hope you’re loving turning 40. This can be a tough decade for women but I am pretty sure you’ll be finding that self-esteem transformation you thought you would never get. I became happier than I ever thought possible!

I think you have put these points so well. We often don't talk about the changes we need to make psychologically to deal with it

That part about exercise not being fun and feeling tired afterwards is so real. I haven’t heard anyone else mention that in their weight loss videos so I’m glad you did. I used to walk the five-mile trail at a park and I would feel tired and sleepy afterward. I would even fall asleep/unintentionally take a nap when I got home because I was so tired from that workout. I also appreciate you speaking about loose skin and how genetics can affect that.

Thank you for this video, it's really comforting. I am currently on a weightloss Journey too and I'm just realising that slow and steady weightloss is actually working and way more rewarding then fast weightloss. Not just because you can actually keep the weight off, but also because you learn so much along the way. And the part about walking outside and feeling judged, I felt that. Especially in the summer. I felt like a snail being cooked by the sun. At the moment I enjoy autumn walks outside. I like the weather more and people tend to be inside more, so it's easier for me to get used to walking outside in peace again😊
Also, this is the most honest and helpful video I could find on the internet for exactly this topic. I just want to say, I think those "lines" you were talking about add to your beauty. You're really beautiful and authentic.

I have the issue that I didn’t realize how big I’ve gotten… I’ve gained about 70lbs since Covid and I’ve only noticed it about 3 times, catching myself in a random mirror like damn girl! Lol. I can feel it in my energy and my knees and back so I’m hoping to just feel better. I hope you can work on really really loving yourself and stop nitpicking because that is just torture and you’ll never be happy no matter what. I’m big but I’m free and I think I look great 😂 And you should feel that way about yourself too, at any size!!!! Wishing you the best ❤❤❤

Thank you for this! It’s so inspirational. I have lost 45 pounds over 1.5yrs and no it’s not easy it’s a roller coaster of constant learning and listening to your body. But the most important thing through it all is self love.

Fasting whether intermittent 16:8 to 20:4 or 1 meal a day, or water fasting helps a great deal to trigger autophagy which happens during fasting and reduces loose skin. It also provides many more positive health benefits. Research to figure out if it's right for you.

Believe it or not, coconut oil is a drying type oil meant for oilier skin. Apricot kernel oil is good for older skin to moisturize, or in a blend.

I cannot and hate running, however I love walking. It's much more effective for me than cycling too. I don't mind strength training also, and stretching.
