I love your podcast! You always send me off on wild goose chases (zero plurals - mostly animals, it seems??- were new to me this time.) But notice, Mignon, that brethren has only two syllables. Thanks for the fun.

Only 85 views so far! Today is Nov. 20, 2018. The gross misuse of pronouns today is appalling, even by people who seem otherwise educated. "...for her and I." "Me and Ned went." "I, Suzan and Tom were the only ones." Never mind your for you're, there for their and the like. I don't bother to shake my head anymore when I hear highly paid television personalities misuse pronouns. And, of course, there is the parroting of horrible pronunciations. For example, the nation of Qatar being pronounced, "Cutter." And, if anyone offers a gentle correction, a rebuff is returned. Too bad sentence diagramming was abandoned so long ago. Oh, decades past, a friend told me she learned proper use of personal pronouns in etiquette class. Or was it modeling? I've forgotten that detail. It is great that the non-Grammar education saw the proper use of pronouns was important enough to be part of the course.

Thanks, Grammar Girl, for your work. I purchased everything of yours available in 2012. You are royalty around here, young lady.
