I just saw someone using this on bass too in a video.... And it was very impressive how well it opened up the track for the mids to come through

You can do all this with stock plugins - you'd only need a multiband envelope shaper like Shaperbox volume shaper.
enhance section -
Depth - pultec eq low end boost
heat - parallel aturated high end
punch - transient designer
clip - clipper.
click - high end of the transient - crushed and mixed back in (stock distortion plugin)
thump - a sub synth (bx subsynth)

nifty to have them all under a single plugin and its quite cheap. Good for kids who makes beats and stuff.

Hmm. Dunno. It's ok. I think Knock by Decap is still king alongside a EQ to do what DeBoom is doing. The A/B at the end wasn't amazing. Still, I think this is more designed for EDM. Try an EDM kick and I think it would work.

It would be better if we could hear it in the context of a mix, as opposed to just in solo. Sure, it's changing the sound of the kick, but are those changes helping the mix?
