In today's episode we have Jamie Winship. Jamie has decades of experience bringing peaceful solutions to areas of the world that experience the highest levels of conflict.

After a distinguished career in law enforcement in the metro Washington DC area, Jamie had a unique opportunity to bring his identity-centric approach of transformation to the field of education. He earned an MA in English and accepted a position at a university in Indonesia. Jamie developed a unique language acquisition program based on this premise: identity transformation is the key to acquiring new levels of learning in any field. His work drew the attention of Fulbright and other educational institutions which extended his work worldwide over the past several decades.

Jamie has worked with leaders in professional sports, business, education, law enforcement, government, non-profit and other sectors.

Jamie and his wife, Donna, are co-founders of Identity Exchange, a training and consulting agency that helps individuals and teams discover new levels of creativity and resiliency within the framework of true identity.

Dr. Edwards you did an excellent job in leading this podcast in a way that we all get to hear mostly from Jamie Winship, whom I just found recently and I am blown away by who he is and what he has been able to do with shutting down conflict through introducing people to Jesus Christ. I cry through most of his stories because they show how Jamie is able to bring peace to the world through what he has learned and is now teaching to so many throughout the world, especially in muslim countries. “The source of conflict in humanity”the first word that comes to my mind is Competition as an umbrella with multiple adjectives below it. If we live like Jesus does this would not be the issue and our true identity would be revealed.

We’ve separated new covenant from previous one, from which Jesus himself quoted from.

The awful things that are true about us (liar, imposter, cheater, easily confused, dirty, etc) must be met with the AND of the redemption of Jesus. Both-And. That is the only way we can live in the cognitive dissonance of two opposite things being true. When we reject the covering of our shame by Jesus, we slide back into religion (former self), but now without hope for renewal.
