The actual charging is 27w with the pixel 9 and 9 pro with the 45 watt charger and the pro XL will get 37w charging.

The 9 Pro XL is 37 watts, not 45 watts. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are 27 watts.

Wirelessly the Pixel 9 is 15 watts, Pixel 9 Pro is 21 watts, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL is 23 watts.

Only the 9 Pro XL gets the 45W Fast Charging, with 0-70% in 30 Minutes.

I do appreciate that they're increasing the charge speed, but when I'm here with a 100w charging phone that barely even heats up ever, it makes me wonder what's holding Google back?

I think 27 watt charging is just fine. Yes I would like it to be a bit faster but if I charge my phone up from 20% with my 30 watt charger and will get to 80% in like 20 minutes or 30 minutes one of the two. That's all you need for a charge if you're going out for a few hours.
