Discovering a Vintage Denon DVD Player

I try out and look inside a rare vintage Denon DVD-2500 from 1999.

This is a very good unit used as an audio transport. It does have a fairly good Burr Brown DAC chip but the analog output is not the best. That's no problem as you can just audio out digitally through the coax or optical and input into a modern stand alone DAC. Something like a Schiit Modi or the like at the $100 mark or cheaper 2nd hand. Great pick up!

shame no cd R I have loads of these glad my players read them.
I was given a nice cd system last week just needed a new belt.
its all going now
