🎤 Lyrics: Blue Oyster Cult - (Don't Fear) The Reaper

[Verse 1: Buck Dharma]
All our times have come
Here, but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the Reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun, or the rain

[Chorus: Buck Dharma]
(We can be like they are) Come on, baby
(Don't fear the Reaper) Baby, take my hand
(Don't fear the Reaper) We'll be able to fly
(Don't fear the Reaper) Baby, I'm your man
La, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la

[Instrumental Bridge]

[Verse 2: Buck Dharma]
Valentine is done
Here, but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity (Romeo and Juliet)
40,000 men and women everyday (Like Romeo and Juliet)
40,000 men and women everyday (Redefine happiness)
Another 40,000 coming everyday

[Chorus: Buck Dharma]
(We can be like they are) Come on, baby
(Don't fear the Reaper) Baby, take my hand
(Don't fear the Reaper) We'll be able to fly
(Don't fear the Reaper) Baby, I'm your man
La, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la

[Instrumental Bridge]

[Verse 3: Buck Dharma]
Love of two is one
Here, but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
The door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew and then disappeared
The curtains flew and then he appeared

[Outro: Buck Dharma]
(Saying, "don't be afraid") Come on, baby
(And she had no fear) And she ran to him
(Then she started to fly) They looked backward and said goodbye
(She had become like they are) She had taken his hand
(She had become like they are) Come on, baby
(Don't fear the Reaper)

For my 60th birthday, my friend took me
To the Medina Ballroom to see
Blue oyster cult
Jefferson starship was the opening act
Anyway after the first show was over
I went out to burn one, , there were 6 guys out there, anyway I started conversation with them, telling them how I was here to see Blue oyster cult for my birthday, it was the band they invited me downstairs to the bar, and I did a shot with each member and the manager, It was the best Birthday in my 69 years of living and what a show it was,

I feel so sorry for the youngsters of the current generation who will never experience the freedom that many of us who were teenagers when this came out got to live through - the music, the freedom, the hope for a better future than never came.

Seasons don't fear the reaper, nor do the wind, the sun, or the rain. Life is cyclical and death is only a rebirth into a new form. We die many times before a physical death claims our body and releases our soul to the Great Beyond.
This song was such a vibe on Rockband and I've always approved of the generous inclusion of the cow bell 🐄🔔 May this song continue resonating with future generations. Thank you for sharing!

One of Art Bells favorite intro songs. I loved hearing this late at night when I was driving truck across country. Many, many memories.

One of the greatest bands ever to step on the stage. Love seeing them in Cleveland at MGM Northfield every year or two.
