Thanks. I will be making cuttings of my pear tree, my fig tree, my persimmon tree and my loquat tree.

Question will this method also work with citrus trees and olive trees?

So how long do you let cuttings heal. Before you aplly horomone? How dry are they before placing in box?
Thank you in advance!

For the record i tried this with rice hulls leftover from another project, it stinks and is not the correct media for this application.

I am now trying pearlite because Walmart by my house sucks and locked the sand outside.

Probably not as good as sand, pore size too big i bet, but it'll work i think...

How much money do you make selling cuttings/trees?

I use play sand, but the first time I tried this, the roots developed just fine, but there were big green worms/caterpillars under the surface of the sand. I didn't know they were there until I took the rooted cuttings out of the container. I'm figuring that the eggs were in the play sand before I placed the cuttings in the sand. I started pouring boiling water into the sand the day before I wanted to place my cuttings in it. That's killing any eggs that may be in there. Then, by the next day, the sand is room temperature again.

Is that all your doing is fig cuttings? If so than say so. Don't say do this for all fruit cutting...
