Bae’s current voice also allows her lovely Australian accent to flow naturally.

Kronii sounds so prim and professional in her debut, it didn't prepare us for the madness and memes that awaited.

My favorite is Fauna’s change. Back in Debut, when she saw a noticable funny chat, she would smile quietly. Current Fauna has all sort of reaction when a chatter make fun of her 😂, from angry, happily squealing and high pitch disgust voice.

I, for one, wish all VTuber's would just talk in their most natural voice.

I find it much more relaxing.

Whenever a new gen debuts, I like to try and guess how they'll inevitably change as they loosen up and get more comfortable in their roles.

Bae being high-energy and chaotic meant there was plenty of room for her to chill out.
Fauna being quiet and mousey made room for her to grow into a chaotic memelord, but being a comedy *genius* was a welcome surprise.
Kronii's claim of not being a happy person showed room for her to become a happier person. *Much* happier. She's really come into her own.
Mumei was adorable from jump, but noticeably restrained. That she can be a complete goofball and go all-out singing feels natural now.

And Sana... Huh. Sana was just kinda her weird self from beginning to end, wasn't she?

Ina was this twice over. She was almost whispery in the months after debut, and was still this but more energetic about a year in from that. But after her break recently, she about projects her voice a lot more and sounds perkier.

You know, actually the shortest woman around my age (yes she's an adult) I've ever known is probably around the actual height of Baelz' character model - 4 foot 10-ish inches - and has just as deep a voice as Baelz' natural one.

It ain't realistic, it ain't unexpected, and it ain't unappealing. I really wish more people could kick this idea of "the viewers want a squealing genki girl" sooner. I'm sure *some* do, but I say nay.

Calli had a bit of that problem too. Because she thought she needed to sound cute and girly during her debut. But chat realized quite quickly that she was very uncomfortable acting that way and told her that she can just be herself. And that allowed the actual cute sides of her come out more naturally.

There certainly is an expectation when we only just saw how they look, but as time goes on their voice would just naturally start fitting before we know it

I love "low energy" Bae, from debut she really wasn't for me and i was expecting that, bright red small rat chaos, she was destined to be a high energy obnoxious nuisance so i stayed away, then i watched the low energy power wash stream and it was awesome, the stray cat situation really opened her up and gave some insight into how caring she is behind the screaming, I'd love to see more of her like this, the voice change helps a lot.

Yeah tbh I like Bae when she is speaking in her normal voice! Though the morning voice-

Chaos comes in all forms and shapes. Even if Baelz admits that she doesn't have to be at high tension all the time, it's the same with the concept of Chaos. Some can be quieter than the majority. It's very versatile, is what I'm saying.

This reminded me of how youtubers back in the 2010s had to constantly be energetic, but are now really mellow because they got more comfortable being so to their audience

Bae and Calli went through the same character arc and I'm glad that both of them feel comfy enough to be more 'themselves' instead of what they think their characters should be. This is a tricky balance to strike since they are not professional voice actors who are paid to bring a role to life. For these guys and girls, the role is created BY themselves. It has THEIR personality and quirks and everything in between and makes it more of an individual thing than anything else.

Mumei did the same thing but opposite, in her debut rather than making her voice higher and “cuter” like a lot of vtubers do, she made her voice a little deeper and calmer. Since then she’s became more comfortable and is now she’s the owl we know and love. I’m glad a lot of vtubers realize its easier to be themselves and will drop the fake personality

I really prefer Bae's current voice a lot more than her debut one, it just.. fits so well with her, and also, i really appreciate her being so open and honest about this subject, it's one of the reasons of why we like her a lot.

Bae with her normal voice sounds built different. But in her debut, her voice was kinda kusogaki way back lmao.

I love Kiara’s natural voice tbh. I like her excited voice, but sometimes (really rare lmao) she speaks more chill and comfy. I really like that comfy vibe from her. But I still love her no matter what. lol

All of the girls have transformed, and have gotten more comfortable to some extent. I believe it's also better to stay true to themselves. Although morning voice and deep voice Bae really tickle my neurons

I wish more of them realize this thing.
Also, respect for this baby rat for realizing, love her.
