Episode 85 Multimeter Review UT71D DMM

When you turn on light, you can to push same button one more time and light gone double brighter. Also, before power on meter, you can hold to push blue button and at same time when blue button is pushed power on swith to any function and voila... Very fast reading is on, but with one count less. I am prety satisfied with that multimeter for works what i need him. Logger software is very simple and doing job very nice. And at he end, it can be calibrated.

I purchased an UNI-T UT71D last year and I noticed, that it was *unable to measure AC currents below about 200 mA* (below 200 mA AC, the display dropped to 0). So I sent it back for an exchange for another UT71D. But this new device was also unable to measure AC currents below 200 mA(!)
If I also consider what bad reputation UNI-T has, I can't imagine ever to buy a device from UNI-T again...

I have read somewhere that it can capture a 10 ms peak. If it's true, it is one of few multimeters capable of that speed.

Could you give a link to your review of the ut-71a? I searched several times on your youtube channel and couldn't find it. What specifically was it about the ut71a that you disliked?

The yellow button is not for AC or DC is for AC + DC. It is to measure an AC with DC composite
