I have had Salewa Alp Trainer Mid for couple of years and it is the best shoe for mountain hiking. Extremely well formed around my foot and I felt like walking in slippers even after 30km per day. However I managed to tear a hole in the side wall, so I have bought the Alp Trainer 2 Mid and they are nothing like the original. They are hard, the sole does not flex as much and they were really uncomfortable even after 1 km. Can you please start making the original design again? I cannot find such a good hiking shoe anywhere and the original Alp Trainer is not sold in my size anymore (EU 43 if you want to send me some :D )

I recently purchased these and I’m pretty disappointed about waterproofing. Was crossing small stream and only the tip of one boot was underwater for less than few seconds and my foot got wet. Are they supposed to be waterproof or not? Is it possible that I got a faulty product?
