I have spina bifida and have had issues with my bowel since birth. I've tried nearly everything. Milk of magnesia, fybogel, metamucil, laxatives, bowel flushing, eating more fibre and vegetables. Nothing worked. Vegetables just bunged me up. I've finally cured my chronic constipation. What I do is eat 5 to 6 pieces of fruit a day and a probiotic yoghurt. Fruit for breakfast and dinner. I will eat whatever i like for lunch. I take two magnesium citrate capsules every day and two digestive enzymes. I'm now going daily or every other day. Before I would go once a week or once every two weeks.
