Who invented AI? Meet the Creators of AI
Have you guys ever wondered that how SIRI or Alexa communicated with us? How do they integrate with our smart homes and entertainment systems to automate our daily routine? How do face recognition or biometric systems work? How self driving cars will be able to drive safely through heavy traffic? Well, all thanks to Artificial Intelligence. These all technologies incorporate Artificial Intelligence which means that they will use methods based on the intelligent behavior of humans to perform complex tasks. Well, the history of AI dates back to antiquity, with philosophers examining and studying over the idea that artificial beings and mechanical men could exist. This thought was processed and inspired scientists to move forward with the idea of creating an “electronic brain.” In this video, we are going to discuss the fathers of AI who helped us to make life quicker and easier. Make sure to watch the video till the end to know how Artificial Intelligence has evolved into a powerful tool that enables machines to think and act like humans.
Alan Turning:
(23 June 1912–7 June 1954)
British logician, mathematician, and cryptographer Alan Turning is often known as the “founding father of artificial intelligence and theoretical computer science.” Sometimes he is also referred to as the father of modern computer science. During World War 2, his work breaking the German Enigma Code was quite famous. Due to his work, He helped the British to win the war and the invention of the computer. He was much ahead of his time. In 1950, when a computer had just come into being, Alan already started thinking that a machine could think like a human. He published a paper in 1950 in which he suggested a test, initially known as the imitation game, which is now known as the Turning Test. The idea was to conduct this test to check if machines have intelligence or not. There were hardly any believers for the concept at that time, but now we can see that artificial intelligence actually exists. Turning test is one of his best works of Alan, and it has a significant contribution to the field of Artificial Intelligence.
