1ST GEN LYRICS:

Call it immigration
Call it integration callin’ all the pockets and the hottest in the nation
It was no vacation
Mom and papa made it
Took a penny turned into a milli now we’re famous
Always be the outcast always be the underdog
Do the work in silence never let ‘em cut you off
You are not a token you are not a trophy
You’re a frickin’ gangsta
Everything they wanna be

We’re unstoppable baby
That fighter energy
Can’t take it out of me

This is the new Americana
To the hustlers working harder
That first generation
Raise one up
Singing aaiiiaiiiiaii
This is the new Americana
To the hustlers working harder
That first generation
Raise one up
Singing aaiiiaiiiiaii

I’m ready Freddie.
This one’s for the boys and the brown baddies
For the ones who got shamed for their mum and daddies
For the ones who speak in two tongues two pens
With a little accent

We keep on blurring the lines
Blessings we feeling alive
We’re undefeated we climb
Can’t you see now is the time
GRAMMYs to Emmy’s to Senate
Mothers to bosses we winning
We want a seat at the table
Didn’t they tell you who made it?

We’re unstoppable baby
That fighter energy
Can’t take it out of me

This is the new Americana
To the hustlers working harder
That first generation
Raise one up
Singing aaiiiaiiiiaii
This is the new Americana
To the hustlers working harder
That first generation
Raise one up
Singing aaiiiaiiiiaii

I love the fact that this is rap with no swearing and offence! Just pure facts thrown at the table! Admirable 👏👏👏

Mexican-American here. Relate to this song, especially "For the ones who speak in two tongues, two pens with a little accent." I like that the lyric can go both ways. I'm fluent in both English and Spanish. But I feel like I have an accent in Spanish, thought not as heavy as my parent's accent when they speak English. Thank you, Shuba. Will have this song on repeat ❤❤❤🇲🇽🇺🇲

I’m not Indian but I am a first generation Mexican American. I’m have mildly pale skin and colored eyes but brown hair and I’ve always preached my Hispanic heritage and this song truly hits in a prideful way. Amazing song as always shuba! Tu talento es inigualable en la música a mis ojos!

I am the only kid from my family to ever migrate to the states. Been here 5 yrs, still hustling and grinding so one day I can pull my parents out of poverty and someday i can live happily with my future family myself. This song was Hella Motivating! Reignited my will to keep pushing for my dreams!!

Thank you for making this song!❤

Half Ukrainian - Half Chinese Malaysian. Mom moved here/Canada in her teens. She was embarrassed about her culture and being an immigrant, so she tried to keep my grandparents from teaching me my culture and heritage. I’ve always been proud of where I came from and what my family went through to get me here. Now that I’m older and more confident I will never put my head down and just try to blend in so others don’t get bothers or treat me different, that’s their problem!

Hi Shuba, I’m a Philippine-born Indian and I love your songs. My name is Sahib and I am 13 years old. You inspired me so much! And currently I am using my mom’s phone (mines dead). You don’t know how proud I am of your music and this song. I always get bullied in my school so this song really encouraged me! I hope you see this comment. Keep on following your dreams!
